I would like to wish A Very Happy Christmas to everyone who reads and follows this Journal of mine. It has been quite an adventure the past few months with so many projects on the go and lots of big changes, with many more to come!

Starting with an update  on my work in the world of watch design it has been a very busy few weeks at White. Mainly finalising designs that I have been working on over the past few months and preparing the technical documents that go alongside these designs to have everything ready to be sent off for prototyping before the Christmas break.

It was a lot of pressure and a lot of work to get it all done in time, but I managed to get everything ready and am now eagerly awaiting for the prototypes to arrive, with an aim for some of these designs to be released over the coming year. There may even be some of my work at the coming Baselworld Event in March 2016!

Outside of work I have started to focus on my entry for the 2017 Michelin Design Challenge as it is going to be a hugely complex project with several hundred hours of work going into it. The task is to create a Le Mans endurance racer for the year 2030, utilising new technologies and representing your chosen brand well to their clientele.

I have a vision for an incredibly complex piece of engineering that utilises existing technologies in a whole new way not seen in motorsport before, making the fastest race cars ever piloted by drivers, and bringing the excitement back to the levels of the 70's and 80's.

I will have sketches and renders to show in the coming weeks, and will be updating the journal and Instagram as they are completed.

Finally a little recommendation from me to anyone living in a place they don't really know, explore every museum, every gallery and every collection you can get your hands on, you never know what you might find!

In the past few weeks I have found numerous Renoir's, a Monet and a Rembrandt in a small room at a local museum, and also this very interesting early British pocket watch in a collection of historical timepieces. It is amazing to find these early pieces of English watchmaking and I look forward to seeing the day that this level of watchmaking returns to England!

Happy Holidays!

Until next time..
